How to reset the game settings and cache

Corrupted settings and cache can cause a lot of trouble.

World of Tanks uses a special folder to store the game settings and cache.

Should the game misbehave, do the following:

1. Close the game.
2. Download the following archive.
3. Unpack the .bat-file from the archive to any folder and run it.

Please note that after you run this file, the in-game settings will be reset.

To manually reset game cache and settings, do the following:

1. Press Windows key + R.
2. Type %appdata%\wargaming.net\WorldOfTanks.
3. Press Enter.
4. The following folder opens:
   

   

5. Delete:
   • Preferences.xml — resets your game settings (graphics, audio, controls and so on).
   • Custom_data — forces a client side refresh of your clan emblems.
   • The rest — resets the game cache.
