How to add the game to antivirus exceptions
- Click the Dr.Web icon in the taskbar in the bottom-right corner of the screen (near the clock). If you can't see the icon, click the (^) arrow near the clock and then click the Dr.Web icon.
- In the Dr.Web control panel, click the lock icon to unlock additional settings.
- Click 'Exclusions'.
- Select 'Files and Folders' and then click the "plus" button in the right part of the window.
- In the window that appears, check both boxes. Now click the 'Browse' button.
- Specify the path to the folder where the game is installed (e.g. D:\Games\World_of_Tanks) and click 'OK'.
- Make sure the path is correct, then click 'OK' again.
- You've successfully added the game folder to the exclusions list.
- To avoid issues when connecting to the servers, we recommend you also add the WorldOfTanks.exe file to Dr.Web firewall exclusions (see instructions below).
How to add the game to firewall exclusions
- Click the Dr.Web icon in the taskbar in the bottom-right corner of the screen (near the clock). If you can't see the icon, click the (^) arrow near the clock and then click the Dr.Web icon.
- Click 'Protection Components' in the left panel.
- Now select 'Firewall' on the left, then go to the right panel and click the 'Change' button near 'Application rules' in the 'Applications' section.
- Click the "plus" button to add a new application rule.
- Click 'Browse' and select 'Application on disk' in the drop-down menu.
- Specify the path to the WorldOfTanks.exe file (it also can be found in the folder with the installed game, e.g. D:\Games\World_of_Tanks) and click 'OK'.
- In the window that opens, select 'Allow' in the 'Launching network applications' dropdown menu, and 'Allow all' in the 'Access to network resources' dropdown menu. Now click 'OK'. WorldOfTanks.exe will appear on the list of applications for which rules are created.
- The game client has successfully been added to firewall exclusions. Click the "Return" arrow near the "Applications" group name.
- If you want to lock the settings, click on the open lock button.
- The antivirus software has been successfully configured. You may now minimize the window by clicking on the Dr.Web icon in the taskbar. If you can't see the icon, click the (^) arrow near the clock.
