McAfee Total Protection:
How to add the game to antivirus exceptions
- Launch McAfee Total Protection. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner. Click 'Real-Time Scanning' in the drop-down menu.
- Expand the Excluded Files tab and click 'Add file'.
- Specify the path to the WorldOfTanks.exe file in the folder with the installed game (e.g. D:\Games\World_of_Tanks) and click 'Open'.
- WorldOfTanks.exe has been added to the list of excluded files. You can close the Real-Time Scanning window.
- To avoid issues when connecting to the servers, we recommend you also add the game files to McAfee Total Protection firewall exclusions (see instructions below).
How to add the game to firewall exclusions
- Launch McAfee Total Protection. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the McAfee window. Click 'Firewall' in the menu that appears.
- Expand the Program Permissions tab and click 'Add'.
- In the lower left corner of the window, click 'Browse...'
- Specify the path to the WorldOfTanks.exe file in the folder with the installed game (e.g. D:\Games\World_of_Tanks) and click 'Open'.
- Scroll down in the Program Permissions window until you find 'Incoming and outgoing'. Mark this option and select 'Open ports in work and home networks' in the drop-down menu. Set Net Guard as 'Disabled'. Click 'Save'. You have added WorldOfTanks.exe to the list of excluded files.
- WorldOfTanks.exe has been added to the list of excluded files. The firewall settings have been configured. You can now close the settings window for McAfee Total Protection.
