How to add the game to the trusted zone
These instructions are valid for:
- Avast Business Security
- Avast Business Security Pro
- Avast Business Antivirus Pro Plus
- Avast Free Antivirus
- Avast Internet Security
- AvastPremier
The screenshots have been made using Avast Business Security.
- Launch the Avast antivirus. Click 'Settings' in the right corner of the window.
- Click 'General' in the left panel, then expand the 'Exclusions' panel in the right side of the window.
- Select the 'File paths' tab and click 'browse'.
- Specify the path to the folder where the game is installed (e.g. D:\Games\World_of_Tanks) and click 'OK'.
- The game path will appear in the antivirus exclusions.
- The game folder has successfully been added to the trusted zone.
- After that, we recommend you add the WorldOfTanks.exe game client file to the trusted zone of Avast firewall to avoid connection issues. Open the following instructions to learn if your version of Avast has a firewall.
How to add the game to firewall exclusions
These instructions are valid for:

- Click 'Protection' in the right panel of the antivirus window and then select 'Firewall'.
- Click 'Application settings' in the Firewall panel.
- Click 'New group' and input "Wargaming.net" as the group name.
- Click 'New application rule' and select the "Wargaming.net" group.
- Specify the path to the WorldOfTanks.exe file (it can be found in the folder with the installed game, e.g. D:\Games\World_of_Tanks) and click 'Open'.
- Click 'Specify ports' for World of Tanks.
- In the drop-down list, select 'All'.
- The game files have been successfully added to the Avast firewall exclusion list. Access to all ports for WorldOfTanks.exe is open.
- After this, we recommend you enable antivirus game mode while you play if your version of Avast has such an option. Game mode disables Avast notifications, pauses Windows updates, and assigns the highest priority to the game, boosting performance. Open the following instructions to learn if your version of Avast has a game mode.
How to enable game mode

- Avast Internet Security
- AvastPremier
- Click 'Performance' in the left side menu and select 'Do Not Disturb Mode'.
- Click the 'Add app' button.
- Specify the path to the WorldOfTanks.exe file (it can be found in the folder with the installed game, e.g. D:\Games\World_of_Tanks) and click 'Open'.
- The game will appear in the list of apps with game mode enabled. You have successfully configured Avast and may now close the window.
