Account Sharing/Selling/Purchasing Policy

We here at Wargaming want all of our players to make sure their accounts are secure. As such we have instituted our policy on account sharing.

Players must keep all account information confidential. At no time should a player give out their e-mail, account ID or password, secret question or answer to anyone. This includes friends, relatives, parents, children, spouses, co-workers, clan members, clan leader, and so on. The account owner is responsible for their accounts actions at all times. This means that if anyone logs into your account such as a family member or even hackers, you are held responsible.

Q: What is account sharing?

A: Account sharing is when a player willingly provides another player (friends, family member, clan mate anyone other than him/herself) access to their account information which allows the 2nd person to play on their account.

Q: What is account selling?

A: Account selling is the act of selling a used account for real world money or some other form of payment.

Q: What is account purchasing?

A: Account purchasing is simply the opposite of account selling. If a player uses real world money or some other form of payment to purchase a used account that is considered account purchasing.

Account sharing/selling/purchasing can lead to many issues with your account including but not limited to:

  • In-game assets being purchased or sold with credits or gold
  • Account information being changed which could lead to claims of an account being compromised or hacked
  • Two or more players fighting over one account which can lead to a long process for the original owner to regain control over said account
  • Total loss of your account i.e. permanently suspended.

The following is a quote from the game rules link provided below:
2.07. Begging/Soliciting in any form is prohibited in all game chats and channels. Begging/Soliciting includes but is not limited to: requesting users to transfer real money to the virtual wallet, asking for additional credits, and requests to transfer game gold.
2.08. All types of ads for sale, exchange, or other options for the transfer of accounts from one user to another violate EULA and are prohibited in all game chats and channels.
2.14. Discussion on, advertising of, or linking to websites, for the purpose of selling gold, credits, promotional codes, leveling services, or game accounts is prohibited.
2.22. Any kind of provocations for other players to violate the EULA as well as additions to it is strictly prohibited.
2.25. The use of copyrighted, trademarked, patented, classified, or restricted material or information and the violation of any rights of any party, including rights of privacy or publicity is prohibited.

If during an investigation of a “hacked” account if we find definitive evidence showing that account sharing, selling or an account purchase has taken place, the account in question will be ineligible from receiving any compensation for unauthorized use such as in-game items being sold or purchased.

You as the account owner will have to deal with the consequences of your actions.

Remember! You are solely responsible for your Account and the maintenance, confidentiality and security of your Account and all passwords related to your Account, as well as any and all activities that occur under your Account, including all activities of any persons who gain access to your Account with or without your permission.
